Oya Karakas, MFA Head of Department for Multilateral
Economic Affairs, told Econoff July 18 that the GOT
agrees in principle with the U.S. proposal to reduce
Patent Cooperation Treaty fees (reftel), but that it
will probably join whatever consensus emerges on this
