Get Ready to Rumble in the Rubble

Get Ready to Rumble in the Rubble

Friday 17th April, Christchurch

Rumble in the Rubble is a Christchurch open-air boxing event where contenders from 16 companies that contribute to the Christchurch rebuild get into the ring to raise awareness for the rebuild effort, and money for a Charitable Foundation.

With contenders straight off the construction site, these guys (and girls!) will be trading hammers for gloves on a night of action packed entertainment that brings the rebuild community together. With a street level atmosphere, Rumble in the Rubble is an event you don’t want to miss!

In 2015, Rumble in the Rubble is raising money in support of the For Everyone Charitable Foundation (FECF), which gives out grants to community groups, schools and people around New Zealand who need help with small projects that would otherwise be difficult to find funding for. Whether it’s new life jackets, horses for disabled riders, funding to fix up community spaces, or a new playground – FECF makes a difference at a grass roots level.

Alex Pledger, a basketball player from The Skycity NZ Breakers, is a FECF ambassador and is flying down to Christchurch to support this event and cheer the contenders on!

“I’m so excited to get involved with the Christchurch rebuild community, and thrilled they’ve chosen FECF as their recipient charity this year,” says Pledger.

“It’s going to be an awesome night – I strongly encourage Cantabrians to come along, enjoy the fun, and be helping out a great cause.”
