Prestigious Series Reaches Milestone
The Stroke & Stride Series has announced the dates for their events over the 2013/2014 summer. The golden sands of Mission Bay in
the heart of New Zealand's largest city will again be the stage for all the popular afterwork events.
The high-octane mid-week racing is shaping to be even more intense as this will be the 25th season the Stroke & Stride will be contested on the Auckland waterfront. At early season events defending Series Champions Brent Foster
and Sophie Corbidge can typically expect challenges from all quarters and it will take until the new year before
contenders establish their credentials as they accrue points in the Series Grand Prix.
The final event in March will double as the 2014 New Zealand Swimrun Championship and is where titleholders Cameron Todd
and Samantha Warriner can add to their remarkable tally of national titles in an event contested annually since 1993.
There is $10,000 in prize money to be won in the Series Championship and individual events. Immediately following each
of the eight races a prize giving is held where all competitors are eligible to win the mountain of spot prizes provided
by the sponsors.
