Robyn Broughton to Return to Haier Pulse in 2014
Haier Pulse Head Coach Robyn Broughton will be returning to the franchise for the 2014 ANZ Championship, eager to build on her two successful years at the helm.
Having led the team to fifth place in the 2013 competition with a record eight wins, Broughton believes there is much more to come from the team
“I am delighted to be coming back as I really enjoy the environment and am very well looked after by the netball community, supporters and sponsors,” she explained.
“It’s a case of unfinished business as far as I’m concerned. We’ve made improvements each year, but 2014 needs to be the one. The challenge of reaching the play-offs and going on to win the ANZ Championship is still in front of us.”
Haier Pulse Chairman Ian Collier was thrilled to have retained the services of the coach who has transformed the team from perennial strugglers to genuine contenders.
“The board is delighted to have secured the signature of Robyn Broughton for the 2014 season. Robyn is pivotal to our plans for securing a place in the top four and ultimately winning the ANZ championship. We are confident that the players, our sponsors and fans will also be just as pleased as we are about this announcement,” he said.
“The entire Haier Pulse Team, and those that support them, have worked very hard to build a culture and an environment that we are all proud to be part of. Having Robyn as our coach is fundamental to the next phase of the Central Zone's development and its success.”
