Radware And SUSE Partner To Fortify Cloud-Native Infrastructure At Scale

Strategic alliance delivers enterprise-grade Kubernetes security to meet rising threat levels and compliance demands

As cloud-native technologies continue to redefine the enterprise IT landscape, the stakes for securing applications and APIs have never been higher. In a move poised to resonate across sectors from telecom to finance, cybersecurity leader Radware and open-source innovator SUSE have joined forces to deliver an integrated Kubernetes security stack aimed at helping enterprises secure their digital infrastructure without compromising speed, scale, or compliance.

Announced in late April, the partnership brings together Radware’s Kubernetes Web Application and API Protection (KWAAP) platform with SUSE’s flagship container management solution, Rancher Prime, and SUSE Security. The offering is positioned as a full-stack, cloud-native solution that secures workloads across distributed environments—from central data centers to edge deployments.

The timing is critical. Radware’s 2025 Global Threat Analysis Report shows a staggering 41% increase in web application and API attacks last year, as enterprises face mounting pressure to protect sensitive data and maintain service availability in the face of increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks. Bot activity, encrypted protocol exploits, and large-scale DDoS events are now common—and often undetectable—through traditional security methods.

“Businesses are embracing edge computing and Kubernetes to gain agility and reduce latency,” said Michael Nieto, Radware’s VP of Global Business Development. “But this shift also creates blind spots. Our partnership with SUSE is about addressing that exposure with an enterprise-ready solution that blends deep security with operational flexibility.”

The combined offering is certified for use on SUSE Rancher Prime and SUSE Edge platforms, enabling seamless interoperability and enterprise-grade performance across hybrid and edge-native deployments. It includes features designed to help organizations:

  • Reduce security risk inside Kubernetes clusters with runtime protection,
  • Achieve regulatory compliance with PCI DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR,
  • Accelerate secure cloud-native adoption, and
  • Integrate seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows.

Peter Smails, SUSE’s SVP and GM of Enterprise Container Management, emphasized the commercial relevance: “CIOs and CISOs are seeking modular, scalable solutions that don't lock them in. By partnering with Radware, we’re delivering an open, certified Kubernetes stack that protects the most critical parts of the business—applications, data, and services—no matter where they reside.”

This partnership also sends a message to the broader enterprise market: security is no longer a bolt-on feature, but a foundational component of modern infrastructure. For organizations pursuing digital transformation, the Radware-SUSE alliance offers a compelling answer to the increasingly complex equation of risk, compliance, and innovation.

In an era where application availability and customer trust are paramount, solutions that secure by design—not just by policy—are fast becoming a boardroom priority. This new Kubernetes-native stack could be the difference between scaling with confidence or stalling under risk.
