Spark Lab to explore a future of robots, virtual reality
and more
Today’s newest technology, and that of the future, will be the subject of Spark Lab’s ‘Tools and Tech Month’ throughout July, as industry leaders gather to discuss the implications and opportunities for New Zealand businesses in today’s digital landscape.
Head of
business marketing for Spark, Richard Sandford, says the
series of free talks will be both inspirational and
eye-opening, as well as practical and
applicable:
“Increasingly, our customers are asking
what technology they should be thinking about and using to
help their business grow and make their lives a whole lot
easier. This next series at Spark Lab will give businesses
an insight into what digital tools they can use today as
well as a view on what’s coming in the future so they can
stay ahead in the marketplace.”
The line-up for Tools
and Tech Month includes Vend founder Vaughan Rowsell,
who’ll be speaking about the coming ‘golden age of
technology’, an era of sensors, artificial intelligence
and robots. Immersify’s Brendon King will tackle virtual
reality, looking at business applications and uses. Shona
Grundy from Ora 10 Ltd will share her top 10 business apps,
while Simone Iles from APD (Asia Pacific Digital) will share
from her experience on how New Zealand business people can
make better digital decisions in the near future.
The
sessions are open to everyone and free to attend, although
spaces are limited. A number of sessions will be
live-streamed on Facebook and videos from all of the events
will be available online, so that businesses around New
Zealand can benefit from what’s shared. Those interested
can go to sparklabseries.co.nz to find out more or to
register their attendance.
