Vital conference on New Zealand’s biodiversity crisis on in 3 weeks!
New Zealand’s natural heritage is in an alarming decline. After 1000 years of human occupation, we are still not living well with our unique biodiversity. This is the case across the land, the sea and freshwater environments.
As EDS’s publication Vanishing Nature showed, strategic, transformational change is needed to turn this decline around.
Our national conference, now just 3 weeks away, is designed to find solutions and design a plan of action. More of the same is not going to cut the mustard.
So this conference will not be another talkfest. We want tangible outcomes, a national consensus on a new way forward based on good science and innovative policy. We want to engage with a cross-section of people involved in environmental management and delve deeply into that experience for solutions.
Join us in Auckland on 12-13 August and be part of the journey. Let’s make Wild Things a turning point for biodiversity.
