TYWI-Education Software For Real-time Voice Translation In 78 Languages Adds WebRTC to the Translate Your World Arsenal
Today, international education takes a giant leap across 78 languages as Translate Your World, the Web software that enables people to speak across languages with a high level of comprehension, adds compatibility with WebRTC, the hottest new open-source software on the planet. This upgrade propels the speech translation software for webinars, training, and online learning into an international experience where people not only listen in their language, but talk back.
Translate Your World, developers of linguistic and mobile marketing technologies, today announced the release of the latest update to its groundbreaking TYWI-Education (“tie-wee”), the voice translation software that translates voices of teachers and trainers “live” in real-time into 78 languages as well as provides instant captioning for the hearing-impaired. And now, because of the addition of WebRTC compatibility, students can answer back in their native language.
The previous Version 1 of TYWI-Education empowered a teacher to lecture, and the teacher’s words were automatically captioned and subtitled in real-time. With the addition of WebRTC, students can ask questions and comment verbally in their own language, translated for the teacher. Moreover, WebRTC makes it possible for streaming computer voices to be added to the mix so that a translated voice may be heard in lieu of subtitles.
WebRTC technology is designed to enable web browsers to transfer spoken words in addition to text. WebRTC is expected to revolutionize online communication, and has certainly revolutionized Translate Your World’s already jaw-dropping speech translation software. TYWI-Education is compatible with WebEx, Adobe Connect, Skype, Blackboard, GoToWebinar, and any web conferencing software, plus can be used by teachers and students in the classroom, as well.
Sue Reager, the company president, speaks 10 languages and also heads a well-known translation agency. As the innovator behind TYWI-Education, Sue Reager explains, "Earlier in my career I taught college, and used that experience in guiding the design of TYWI-Education. Today, institutions for higher education are competing for the tuition of international students, and corporations are facing monumental costs to translate training and communication for global employees. TYWI-Education is a budget-slasher in so many ways, and a brand new concept. Translate Your World is not a replacement for an existing way of educating, it is a new way of educating that brings people together across language barriers."
TYWI is a deceptively simple-looking online Web software. Just go to a webpage. The user-friendly interface hides an active and extremely clever bridge connecting little-known side technologies by giants like Microsoft, Nuance, Google, Apple, Android, SDL, ReadSpeaker, and others. These side-software are stable and brilliantly designed, but most people don’t even know they exist or that they have them in their devices. Through TYWI-Education, these companies and products that normally compete function in harmony for the betterment of global education. Users choose whichever technology best handles their language and subject matter. Many of the technologies learn and improve over time, and – vitally important for classes - there are serious solutions for tailoring the results of speech conversion and automated translation through use of personal speech and translation dictionaries for technical, medical, and other subjects.
The addition of WebRTC capability will be a staple of Translate Your World’s upcoming Version 2.0 of TYWI-Education, due out in October. Just go to a webpage, create an account, and start talking across languages. The world of technology is just now catching up to WebRTC, so WebRTC may not be fully available yet on every device. But like a tsunami, the wave of WebRTC is coming, and Translate Your World will already be there.
