A fine spell followed by unsettled weather
Fine weather is expected to continue over many parts of New Zealand at least into Saturday. However,from Sunday or
Monday onwards,the weather over the country is likely to be considerably less settled than it has been over the last few
days.
Media and Communications Meteorologist Daniel Corbett commented "The weekend will start off fine for many but a trough
approaching from the Tasman Sea is expected to bring wet weather either later during the weekend or early next week."
Corbett went on to say "The approaching trough should spread rain across parts of Fiordland and Westland on Saturday and
into Buller on Sunday. The east of the South Island and most of the North Island are expected to stay dry and quite mild
in the northerlies this weekend."
