Wave and Tidal Energy Conference Sequel
New Zealanders at last
week’s Blue Energy Conference will be offered a $5,000
grant to travel to Britain and study wave and tidal
technologies.
The New Zealand Ministry of Science and Innovation have provided the grants for researchers and product developers to explore research collaboration agreements in the UK .
The funding will cover airfares and accommodation but must be used by the 31st of August.
The British High Commissioner to New Zealand Mrs Vicki Treadell has welcomed the move saying that the wave and tidal energy sector for New Zealand is not just another alternative energy but a way of generating income around a whole new industry.
