Capture stunning full high definition movies underwater with Sony’s slim line Cyber-shot T series
Auckland – 11 March, 2011 – Sony New Zealand today introduced new additions to its popular Cyber-shot T series digital cameras. Admired by outdoor adventurers and trendsetters alike, the latest range is set to impress with the tough DSC-TX10 and feature packed DSC-TX100V.
Experience tough and style with the life proof TX10
Proving that tough doesn’t mean big and bulky, the hero model of the new Cyber-shot T series, TX10, is as rugged as it is stylish. Tougher than its slim design would suggest, the TX10 offers waterproof functionality of up to 5 metres, is drop proof from heights of 1.5, dust proof and even freeze proof to -10 degrees Celsius.
Shoot underwater movies in Full HD
Whether you’re on land, at the pool or scouting the aquatic life at your favourite snorkelling location, the TX10 boasts a 1080i high-definition AVCHD (1920 x 1080, 50i) recording format, so users can enjoy stunning video at a touch of a button. Furthermore, the TX10 works exactly the same underwater as it does above, allowing users to simply flick and drag through images.
Unparalleled high resolution images with Sweep Panorama
Sony’s unique Intelligent Sweep Panorama Mode can now capture 42.9 megapixel still images – the highest resolution among all compact digital still cameras. Using either the TX10 or the TX100V, simply click the shutter and capture stunning scenes with a sweeping motion. The image can then be view on the camera’s large 3-inch LCD (3.5" for TX100V) screen or in Full HD on a BRAVIA LCD TV.
The new T series captures stunning images and video whether you’re snapping during the day or at night. Both the TX10 and TX100V have a 16.2 megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor, AVCHD video and 3D still image capability, while both models have a 4x Optical Zoom and 25mm wide-angle lens.
The Cyber-shot T series is available from March 2011. The TX10 has a RRP of $699, and the TX100V has a RRP of $799.
