3D gets personal with Sony’s new 3D Handycam camcorder and Bloggie camera
Capture stunning 3D footage and instantly playback on 3D display without glasses

Auckland – 11 March, 2011 – Sony New Zealand today expanded its 3D portfolio with the introduction of the 3D Handycam camcorder and 3D Bloggie camera. Users can now capture their own 3D footage, and view it in 3D on the cameras’ LCD screen without the need for glasses, giving a truly personalised 3D experience.

3D gets personal with Sony’s first 3D Handycam camcorder
Sony’s “Double Full HD” HDR-TD10 camcorder redefines the way consumers capture videos. Boasting an integrated duel lens system, the TD10 incorporates double Sony G lenses, double “Exmor R” CMOS Sensor and double BIONZ image processors.

The dual recording system allows 3D content to be recorded in 1920 x 1080i Full HD resolution and viewed with 3D active glasses on any compatible 3D TV or in Full HD on any non-3D TV. All 3D footage can also be played back without glasses on the camcorder’s 3.5-inch Xtra Fine LCD 3D touch screen. Furthermore, the TD10 boasts 10x Optical Zoom and Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation with Active Mode, providing powerful shake correction at wide angles. With 64GB of flash memory, users can experience 25 hours of Full HD video footage (HD LP mode), or up to five hours of Full HD 3D video.

3D on-the-go with Sony’s Bloggie camera
Continuing to innovate in the pocket video camera space, Sony has introduced its first Bloggie 3D model – the MHS-FS3K. Delivering quality Full High Definition 3D (1920 x 1080) MPEG4 video, five megapixel still photo shooting, 8GB of flash memory and simple web sharing capabilities, the pocket size MHS-FS3K allows users to capture 3D anywhere, anytime.

With a double lens and double image sensors, the 3D Bloggie also features a stereo microphone and built-in LED to capture stunning 3D video. Footage can then be played back in 3D on the camera’s 2.4-inch LCD screen or using 3D active glasses on any compatible 3D TV.

The Handycam HDR-TD10 camcorder is available from April 2011 with an RRP of $2799. The Bloggie MHS-FS3K camera is available from May 2011 with an RRP of $649.
