Major R funding announcement by Hon Dr Wayne Mapp in Christchurch
On Friday 10 December, the Minister of Research, Science and Technology, the Hon Dr Wayne Mapp, will announce the largest-ever research and development investment in New Zealand businesses.
The Technology Development Grant was announced in the May Budget as a new initiative to increase business investment in R, with $189.5 million available over four years.
Among the recipients of the Grant being named on Friday, are many of New Zealand’s and Christchurch’s high-performing businesses in the high value manufacturing sector.
This event will be attended by key representatives from some of New Zealand’s most innovative businesses and research organisations.
The Minister, as well as spokespeople from the businesses that receive the Grant, will be available for interviews and photos.
Morning tea will be provided, followed by a tour of the Dynamic Controls research and development and manufacturing facilities, which you are welcome to attend. There will be ample opportunity for filming and photographing during the tour.
