Honda advises of email scam
Honda New Zealand wishes to advise its customers and the public of an email phishing scam.
The hoax emails have the subject line ‘2010 HONDA RESULT’ and notify recipients of a large cash prize.
These email messages may vary in their presentation and content, and may prompt recipients to follow a link to a Honda associated site or to contact a Honda ‘agent’ for further information.
Honda New Zealand strongly advises recipients to ignore these emails and to delete them from their computers immediately.
Further information about protection from email phishing and email fraud is available at: www.honda.co.nz/hoaxemail
The hoax email has been reported to the appropriate authorities in New Zealand.
