Two of the medal winners at this year’s Science Honours Dinner awards ceremony on Wednesday night received cash awards in addition to their medals.

“Both winners are leaders in their fields and worthy recipients of these awards.”

Professor McNatty from Victoria University of Wellington won the top award for technology for his contribution to the field of reproductive biology.

Dr Garland who is managing director of NZ Pharmaceuticals won his medal for his leadership, and development and application of science and technology to New Zealand business.
