Mako Becomes Founding Member of NZICT Group
18 December 2008
Mako Networks has become a founding member of the new ICT industry association, the NZICT Group, joining more than 30 other leading New Zealand ICT companies.
The aim of the group is to provide a unified voice with which to address issues such as advocacy, raising the industry profile, and the ongoing skill shortage in the sector.
Mako Networks co-founder and director, Simon Gamble says that this is an opportunity for the industry to work with both Government and other key associations and show how correct use of ICT can significantly benefit New Zealand and New Zealanders.
“We believe that being a part of the NZICT Group is important for both our company and the ICT industry in New Zealand. Our hope is that collectively we can grow awareness of the importance of ICT to New Zealand’s economic growth.“
“For our part, the Mako Networks team is pleased to bring our experience in delivering network services to the SME markets in the Middle East, South Africa, Australia, the United Kingdom and New Zealand to the table. We look forward to working with the Group and playing a part in its success.“
