Are You Ready For Your Close-Up - With Wildlife?

Animal Planet's Series Unearthed Continues The Search For The Best Un-Discovered Filmmakers

Is your burning ambition to get up close and personal with the world's most amazing animals? Do you dream of capturing nature's raw beauty on film? If the answer to these questions is 'yes', then Animal Planet is about to offer you the chance of a lifetime.

In a unique television project, Animal Planet is once again searching for the next great wildlife filmmaker. The reality series UNEARTHED will return for a second season of five episodes, following six new contestants on an intensive training course as they learn the essential skills and realities of creating a natural history documentary.

Industry experts and renowned wildlife filmmakers Lyndal Davies and Andrew Barron will return to guide the contestants through their tasks on the course. The tutors will provide invaluable inside knowledge to help the students each shoot and edit their own short wildlife film.

The budding directors and animal enthusiasts will carry out their challenges at the award-winning Shamwari Game Reserve in South Africa during July and August 2007. The project culminates in a gala award ceremony celebrating all the filmmakers, ultimately naming one the winner.

An international panel of experts will judge the final documentaries, and the winner will have his or her film broadcast on Animal Planet in 160 countries throughout Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.
