New position for leading interaction consultancy
New position for leading telecommunications and customer interaction consultancy
Sunday 21 May 2006
New Zealand’s fastest growing independent ICT and customer interaction consultancy i-solutions has today re launched itself with a new name - Voco.
Established in early 2001 by Paul Gordon and Michael Foley, and ranked 27th on the 2005 Deloitte Fast 50 index, i-solutions has built a strong reputation with its track record of independent strategy advice, project delivery, and business benefit realisation. The fifty-plus clients with which i-solutions has worked in its first five years include the likes of IAG New Zealand, Inland Revenue, Westpac and State Services Commission and Meridian Energy.
The choice of the name Voco was deliberate. It is the Latin derivative word with meanings including to challenge, defy, entice, urge, stimulate, and to bring into a certain condition. “We felt it captured the essence of the role we play in our work with our clients” said company founder Michael Foley. “We have built a reputation for saying it like it is, and not being constrained by traditional dogma”.
“This isn’t about a sudden change for the company, we’ve been steadily changing to stay relevant in a fast changing world” said Mr Foley. “We’ve been deliberate about developing our organisation’s skills and capabilities in order to cover the requirements of transformation initiatives at a time when the ICT domain is collapsing on itself, opening up a broader range of operating model choices for medium and large organisations”.
This announcement comes hot on the heels of the government’s announcements on further deregulation the telecommunications industry. .
‘We’re already seeing organisations in both public and private sectors beginning the process of assessing the implications and opportunities for their businesses in light of these changes” said Mr Foley. “It isn’t enough to be a good telco engineer to get the best out of the changing environment”
Voco currently numbers twenty consultants in Auckland and Wellington. The company undertakes assignments predominantly in New Zealand and, by invitation, in Australia.
