Something’s happening at Carter Observatory

Saturn Days

Something’s happening at The Carter Observatory.

Saturn is now visible for public viewing and we are starting the season off with special lectures and viewing.

Saturn days are the 17th and 18th of February starting at 8pm with a lecture and if the weather permits we will be viewing around 9pm.

The lectures will be given by experienced astronomers. They will present a visual presentation on the most exciting and up to date information on Saturn with spectacular new images included. With the Cassini spacecraft now orbiting Saturn, our knowledge is ever increasing and it can be hard to keep up.

The Carter Observatory has been in the botanic gardens for over 60 years, if you haven’t been before then now is a good time. Check the weather and call ahead to make your booking.
