Soil and Health Represented At Organics NZ
The Soil and Health Association of New Zealand will be well represented at the launch of the organic sector group, Organics Aotearoa New Zealand in Wellington this Friday.
Soil & Health's Patron Margaret Jones and other life members will join co-chairs Steffan Browning and Holger Kahl, association manager Hamish Hopkinson, Council members along with members, from the region and elsewhere in New Zealand to join with the wider organic sector representatives, at what Mr Browning says is an important move forward for the sector.
The launch and public organics Expo, being held at the Wellington Events Centre Friday afternoon and Saturday mark the coming together of organics in New Zealand
to co-operatively and significantly progress the growth of organic production and consumption in both export and domestic markets.
Soil and Health is looking forward to the links and co-operation with both sector and government agencies through this new grouping. There have been exciting developments recently including past Soil & Health President Brendan Hoare being voted on to the International Federation of Organic Agricultural Movements (IFOAM) last month according to spokesperson Steffan Browning.
The opportunities for New Zealand at this time are enormous and it will be great to see New Zealand moving ahead with sustainable production.
