Fert Research Appoints New Chairman
The board of Fert Research has appointed David Graham as chairman, effective immediately, replacing retiring chairman Jim Pringle.
David takes on the role after being on the Fert Research board for two years, representing Ballance Agri-Nutrients, where he also serves as chairman.
A practising accountant, David owns a diary farm at Waotu in the Waikato and is the son of former Dairy Board chairman Sir James Graham.
Jim Pringle was on the board of Fert Research for twelve years and served as chairman for the last eight. Earlier this month he also retired from the board of Ravensdown Fertiliser Co-operative.
Commenting on the change, Technical Director Hilton Furness said, “Jim’s contribution to the board, and his leadership has been instrumental in Fert Research being well-recognised as the undisputed industry body in New Zealand. The continuity provided by David’s unanimous appointment will enable this industry leadership to continue.”
Bill McLeod, new Ravensdown chairman joins the Fert Research board as its representative and was also elected deputy chairman.
