Woosh Extends Its Christchurch Coverage

For Immediate Release

April 21, 2005

Woosh extends its Christchurch coverage to 18,000 households

Woosh Wireless has extended its high-speed broadband coverage in Christchurch with the commissioning of new sites in Addington, Sydenham and Bealey Ave, a move that brings its total coverage in the city to nearly 18,000 households.

The three new sites add a further 11,500 households and businesses to the Woosh coverage area in Christchurch and strengthen the service delivered by the company's three other sites in the central city.

Woosh chief executive Bob Smith says the three new sites mean the company's Christchurch rollout is now gathering momentum.

"Christchurch has a vital role to play in our expansion plans as a key business centre within our national network," says Mr Smith.

"This means our business customers have the ability to roam between New Zealand's main business centres, Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

"We have a range of competitively priced plans for both residential and business users, and our roll-out programme in the city means that more and more people are gaining access to the benefits of portable high-speed broadband. Those benefits include the ability to roam while still enjoying access to high-speed broadband at an affordable cost.

"With the use of the Woosh PC Card or modem, a portable and flexible internet service has never been easier or more affordable," says Mr Smith.

He says the company is now lifting the momentum of its sales with four competitively priced plans:
