Interest sought for R&D projects in three areas

Meat & Wool New Zealand is calling for expressions of interest to carry out Research & Development projects, following a review of the current R&D portfolio.

Chief Executive Mark Jeffries said Meat & Wool New Zealand had limited investment available due to its significant investment in multi-year projects in 2004 and 2005.

“We are targeting this new investment in key areas such as environmental management and wool quality,” he said.

Meat & Wool New Zealand seeks Expressions of Interest in the following areas:

- Farm Health – notably in the areas of Animal Welfare and Environmental management

- Wool Products & Quality - Improvements in wool quality. Development of new wool products and new wool processing techniques that enable new products and uses for wool.

- Wool Technical Advice - Provision of technical advice for wool fibre, products, and processing through the national and international wool value chain

Expressions of Interest must be submitted to research@meatandwoolnz.com by 5PM Friday 22nd of April.

Application forms and instructions can be obtained by e-mailing research@meatandwoolnz.com
