Tisco offering new services in Auckland

Tisco offering new services in Auckland

Auckland businesses and householders faced with computers on the blink can now call on a new on-site service.

Tisco – the household name for providing installation and repairs to electronic appliances – is expanding its business in the Auckland area to include computers and security services.

Tisco Managing Director Ken Shilling has bought six franchises along with the Auckland regional operation and plans to add more specialised businesses into the traditional Tisco stable.

“We are extremely pleased to be able to offer more services to clients in the Auckland market.”

Ken Shilling says the opportunity to expand on Tisco’s strong base in Auckland came about when the existing franchise owner decided to focus on offshore business enterprises.

He says the new businesses fit in well with the Tisco philosophy.

A new mobile computer service will offer a full consultancy for services from virus to configuring computer systems.

A new satellite television installation service will provide trained technicians while a new commercial electronics and security business will offer services that include real time security viewing of a company’s premises, satellite distribution and intruder detection.

Tisco has been part of the New Zealand landscape for more than 40 years. It is a member company of the Guildcraft Group that specialises in providing expertise in repairs, servicing and maintenance work. It covers all trades such as electronics, electrical, plumbing, decorating and building.

Guildcraft will also be moving into Auckland as part of the new service offering.

Ken Shilling says the expansion means Tisco’s traditional home installation and repair services will be strengthened, with close business relationships developed with manufacturers, retailers and distributors of electronic products. Added resources are being added to the warranty repair services.

Tisco is a franchised organisation with each branch essentially owned by its manager. Nationwide there are currently 25 branches and the group prides itself on providing a rapid first response to requests for service.

For further efficiency, Tisco is currently installing a new computer system, Link Technology, which is new to the New Zealand market. Link offers a unique range of software that can link multi sites and service providers.
