iVistra Wins ‘Supply-Chain Innovation’ at NZ Transport Awards
Auckland-based software development company iVistra Technology was last night acknowledged as a key innovator for the transport industry by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport New Zealand (LTNZ) - receiving a ‘Supply-Chain Innovation Award’ for its Enterprise Visibility System (EVS™).
EVS™, launched in March, is the first fleet management product to integrate live vehicle tracking with key operational and financial information from a business. It is regarded as innovative for its ability to integrate tracking and enterprise data in real-time; display the information in one sleek dashboard design; and work on a range of mobile devices.
According to iVistra Technology, the customisation of EVS™ for the transport market benefited from the support of New Zealand’s largest infrastructure supply chain company, Toll TranzLink, where it was piloted and installed across the refrigeration division. “EVS™ meets the needs of the transport industry because we worked closely with the team at Toll TranzLink, who was committed to supporting the technology development.”
Following the successful implementation of EVS™ at Toll TranzLink, iVistra Technology is scoping EVS™ for deployment across the wider Toll Group as well as working to take EVS™ to the wider transport industry. According to Greg Miller, Toll TranzLink General Group Manager, “iVistra Technology demonstrates how the recent advancements in technologies can give the transport industry a new level of performance visibility. EVS™ lets us have complete operational and financial asset management at our fingertips.”
iVistra Technology has received a number of innovation awards for EVS™, including the ‘Innovator of the Year’ at the Computerworld Excellence Awards 2004 and ‘Telecommunications Innovation’ at the TUANZ Innovation Awards 2004.

Craig Meek, CEO iVistra Technology, says EVS™ turns data into pictures so a business can see its entire operation in real-time and make better informed decisions more quickly. “It’s the ideal dashboard for a range of industries, including transport, utilities, forestry, manufacturing and defence.”
