Quicksilver Internet has increased the size of its Q-Biz customer's email boxes to a massive 50MB, five times that of most other ISPs.
Q-biz Mail Server users can now receive five times the volume of emails, without using up all of their mailbox size.
"We are going against what other ISPs offer, specifically because we have been successful in providing internet services to small and medium size businesses that meet their needs. This is yet another step in that direction," says Matthew Hobbs, Quicksilver MD. "We are making it easier for businesses to work online. "
The table below shows email box sizes offered as standard by various internet service providers:
ISP Email box size Quicksilver 50MB Maxnet 20 MB (spread over 5 email boxes) Xtra 12MB Clear Net 10MB Orcon 10MB Paradise Net 10MB Sling Shot 5MB Ihug 5MB
The increase in box size stops the embarrassment of having emails rejected and returned to sender. This is particularly relevant to small businesses as large emails are often the most important, for example tender documents or artwork files.
Large email capacity also means trouble free email when you are not able to get to a computer. "Emails can accumulate if not downloaded regularly, which results in bounce-back and important emails being missed. With Q-Biz Mail Server, our customers can now receive five times more mail and go longer without downloading their messages, knowing that they are not going to lose them," explains Matthew Hobbs.
