AUCKLAND, Wednesday April 14, 2004 - Intel Australia Pty Ltd has appointed Andrew McLean as area sales manager for Australia and New Zealand and Louise Dean as business development manager.
McLean has been with Intel for six years as channel marketing manager ANZ and has been instrumental in promoting Intel’s products and vision through the Genuine Intel Dealer and mass-merchant retail sectors. In his new role, McLean will lead a team to grow Intel's brand, technology leadership in the Australian and New Zealand IT channels. He will report to Philip Cronin, country general manager, Intel Australia and New Zealand.
“Andrew has been a driving force behind the successful roll-out of significant Intel initiatives including Intel® Centrino™ mobile technology and our vision for the digital home. He brings a wealth of channel experience to this new role,” Cronin said.
Intel has also promoted Louise Dean to the position of business development manager. Dean will concentrate on the Australia and New Zealand server market and will report to Leighton Phillips, manager, Solution and Strategy Group for Intel Australia and New Zealand. Dean has been with Intel for four years as Distribution Account Manager.
