Madge Happy To Hear Fonterra Is Free Of Human Dna

Fonterra subsidiary ViaLactia has stated categorically that no human DNA was involved in its research following a protest by MAdGE (Mothers Against Genetic Engineering in Food and the Environment) outside Fonterra in response to reports indicating otherwise.

Fonterra failed to respond to a letter from MAdGE asking for clarification on the matter but Dr Colin South, Chief Executive of ViaLactia, has made a statement assuring that "ViaLactia is not using human DNA in research."

“We are thrilled to hear Fonterra is not experimenting with human DNA to create new designer milks. We look forward to an assurance from Fonterra that they will continue to keep our milk GE Free and that they will label it as such.” said MAdGE spokesperson Alannah Currie.
