GNU/Linux Summit 2004 Call For Papers
Autotalo, Helsinki, Finland, 2003-08-27
The annual GNU/Linux Summit, a Finnish GNU/Linux and Open Source conference next scheduled for February 2004, is now accepting papers from professionals involved in Open Source. Hosted by SOT and other leading GNU/Linux and Open Source suppliers of Northern Europe, the Summit is one of the largest gatherings of vendors, decision makers and users of GNU/Linux and Open Source software.
"As with last year's event, GNU/Linux Summit 2004 will include information aimed at helping businesses and IT managers to assess and deploy GNU/Linux and Open Source solutions. This year's Summit will also deal with a wider range of topics, offering more technical content and examining the security aspects of GNU/Linux. In addition, Summit participants will explore some topical legal aspects related to using GNU/Linux. We aim to provide realistic end-user experiences concerning all of these issues, and of the TCO and cost savings inherent in Open Source software.", explained Mr Santeri Kannisto, chairman of the organizing committee and Managing Director of SOT.
The Summit, now in its second year, focuses on sustainable, commercially viable GNU/Linux and Open Source solutions. Although the majority of conference attendees are business decision makers, users, and vendors, the Summit organizers welcome presentations of a technical nature.
Individuals and organizations interested in
speaking at the GNU/Linux Summit 2004 are invited to submit
a proposal to the organizers. For more information, please
