HP delivers new high-performance desktop products

HP delivers more with introduction of new high-performance desktop products

AUCKLAND, JUNE 25 2003 - HP New Zealand is delivering more to small business and corporate customers through the introduction of a new range of secure, high-performance desktop products for businesses that want improved productivity, protection of their valuable data and a return on their IT investment.

HP has also announced new and improved desktop PC warranties which provide next business day on-site response, offering tangible business benefits at no extra cost.

The new HP Compaq Business Desktop d530 series provides maximum stability and manageability through the use of industry standard solutions to enable faster, easier PC deployment. Common software images and longer product life cycles help reduce ownership costs by allowing IT staff to focus on the business, not the systems.

Global models and in-box guarantees mean a consistent configuration worldwide, reducing procurement and management costs and simplifying PC ownership. The HP Compaq Business Desktop d530 series - replacing the Compaq Evo D510 portfolio being retired in August - also offers improved security features to prevent theft of assets, company information and data. Industry-leading client services ease the technology upgrade process and reduce maintenance, repair and support costs throughout the product lifecycle.

"Many companies today are putting themselves at risk by running older, less secure PCs in their IT environment," says Darren Kelly, Product Marketing Manager - Commercial PC's, HP Personal Systems Group.

Business users can also benefit from a range of high performance processors which include the Intel(r) Celeron(r) and Pentium(r) 4 processors with Hyper-Threading technology that allows background computing tasks such as virus scanning and data compression to run effortlessly.

"In choosing Intel(r) Pentium(r) 4 Processor with Hyper-Threading technology-based PC's, corporate IT organizations get more PC performance and responsiveness while minimizing the impact of essential background tasks such as virus checking, email encryption and file compression, resulting in higher performance , manageable and secure infrastructure" says Kelly.

HP Compaq Business Desktop d530 The HP Compaq Business Desktop d530 series is available in three designs including small form factor and convertible minitower with the ultra-slim desktop to be launched early July. With a lifecycle as long as 15 months, a common software image across the platform and HP manageability tools, d530 PCs enable faster, easier PC deployment across enterprise networks. This helps lower the total cost of technology ownership by reducing the need for IT support and improving IT staff productivity.
