Research directories created
If you are interested in finding out what research has been done in the topical immigration or export education fields, journalists, researchers, academics and students can now refer to two web-based directories compiled by the Asia 2000 Foundation (Asia 2000).
The directories are designed to provide a quick, easy and up-to-date reference on the research done on these topics within New Zealand.
Dr Rebecca Foley, Asia 2000's Policy Adviser and compiler of the Directories said, "We realised there was a great deal of excellent research being done on these issues, but no easy way for people to access all the information. We felt a web-based approach would be a straight-forward way for people to see what research has been done. The directories are regularly updated, so the information is kept current."
The purpose of the directories is to identify those undertaking research and their topics of expertise; provide a comprehensive resource for educators, policy makers, journalists, researchers, students and others; and to encourage networking and collaboration among researchers.
The directories include the contact details of researchers, their work in progress, research areas, published papers and conference papers. The directories can be searched individually or together using a keyword search. They are also available in a PDF version, which is organised alphabetically by researchers' last name.
The directories can be found at http://www.asia2000.org.nz/about/research/directories/index.html
