New HP Photosmart c850 camera provides professional-quality at an affordable price.
Auckland, March 3, 2003 - HP today announced the launch of its own digital camera range into the New Zealand market, with five models to be available in selected stores this week.
Top of HP's Photosmart camera range is the c850, aimed at both amateur photography enthusiasts and professional photographers. The HP Photosmart c850 combines a wide variety of manual features with the ease of an automatic point-and-shoot digital camera, allowing users to create professional quality photographs.
With a recommended retail price of $1499 including GST, the HP Photosmart c850 is the first digital camera to provide professional quality features and advanced technologies at a price-tag consumers can afford. It features 4.1 megapixel total resolution and 56x total zoom (8x optical, 7x digital). The camera also includes manual controls for ISO, EV compensation, aperture and shutter priority, focus modes, metering, resolution and white balance.
In addition, the HP Photosmart c850's large zoom lens lets users take action shots without blurry finishes or unwanted background. Users can also capture video clips of up to 60 seconds or add voice clips to each photo.
Nicola Gray,HP's digital imaging solutions market development manager, says the addition of the new Photosmart range means that HP now provides a complete digital photography solution. "By combining our new cameras with any of the existing Photosmart printers, users can instantly print photo quality images straight from the memory card of their camera without using a PC."
The HP Photosmart range now includes the c320, c620, c720 and c812 digital cameras together with the 130, 7150 and 7550 photo-quality printers.

camera line-up will be available nationwide from Noel
