Certus Consulting Exits Non-IBM Services

Certus Consulting Exits Non-IBM Services Following Elevation To IBM Premier Partner Status

AUCKLAND, 2 September 2002 - Certus Consulting has today announced the shedding of non-IBM technology functions, focusing entirely on its strategic relationship with IBM and IBM technology as one of only three IBM Premier Partners.

"Strategically we saw the value in investing further in our relationship with IBM, hence the decision to exit non-IBM activities and focus on IBM based solutions", said Greg Woolley, Managing Director of Certus Consulting. "As a result, Certus is a more focussed organisation providing more targeted solutions to the New Zealand market. In particular, our major competitive advantage remains our business consulting capability. Unlike other more technically oriented organisations, Certus solves business problems with business, rather than IT solutions".

According to IBM New Zealand Managing Director, Nick Lambert, Certus has gained a reputation for providing superior technical skills and services to a diverse client base. "IBM is delighted to recognise the commitment Certus has made to IBM technology in this manner," he said. "The elevation to Premier Partner status is recognition of the work Certus has put into building its business, to the point where it is recognised as a leading provider of the business technology requirements of enterprises utilising IBM technology."

Significant benefits for Certus clients include a substantial training budget from IBM, access to IBM pre-sales resources and direct access to IBM technical support for new and high profile projects.
