Auckland —
August 30, 2001 — Demonstrating its strength in the business

Now, more than ever, customers need planning tools that help them quickly adapt to changing market dynamics. PeopleSoft 8 Business Planning and Budgeting are collaborative financial planning applications that facilitate continuous forecasting and measurement of business information. Seamless integration between PeopleSoft Business Planning and Budgeting gives customers a single solution for projecting and modifying their strategic financial plans, increasing overall profitability and efficiency.
Developing and maintaining customer loyalty requires knowing what customers want — and providing it when they need it. PeopleSoft 8 CBM analyses information to help businesses gain a deeper understanding of customers. Using predictive analytics such as customer profiling, modelling, and data mining, companies can proactively identify customers most likely to purchase products and services and customise marketing campaigns tailored to those profiles.
Ensuring a company’s human capital is being utilised to its fullest is a critical concern for all organisations. PeopleSoft 8 Workforce Planning enables companies to strategically align their workforce to maximise organisational performance. The application allows companies to model skills and competencies, plan succession, and determine workforce strengths and weaknesses.
The extended PeopleSoft 8 EPM solution also includes four new solution specific warehouses for Customer Relationship Management, Financials, Human Resource Management System, and Supply Chain Management. The data warehouses are designed to deploy easily with PeopleSoft and other enterprise applications and speed the analysis and reporting of data.
PeopleSoft’s new Enterprise Performance Management applications will be generally available in Q4 2001.
