PeopleSoft Launches CFO Portal

Redefines Portal Technology, Demonstrates Solutions’ Success

Auckland — August 29, 2001 — Extending its product innovation in portals, PeopleSoft Inc. (Nasdaq: PSFT) today announced the PeopleSoft CFO Portal. The new CFO Portal provides a single point of access to financial performance required by both finance and business managers.

PeopleSoft’s CFO Portal solution, the industry’s first web-based, financial portal, is able to integrate a company’s financial information with customised analytics and external content.

This new portal solution compliments PeopleSoft’s extensive portal offering which includes the employee, customer, supplier, government and campus portals. Through the new CFO Portal, customers set rules to define targeted financial performance, areas of concern, and tasks that require immediate action. Managers are alerted immediately when key performance indicators (KPIs) are out of range with targets and action is required. The instant notification saves time, ensures focus on operational performance and enables managers to act quickly and effectively.

“With the delivery of the CFO Portal solution, PeopleSoft has again demonstrated its technology leadership. It is the industry’s only web-based, financial portal that integrates a company’s actual results with customised analytics and external content,” said David Webster, Managing Director Australia and New Zealand, PeopleSoft. “Delivering CFOs and financial managers this level of management information ensures goals are tracked and met, and value is realised.”
