PeopleSoft Announces Collaborative Recruiting Solutions
Industry-Leading Applications Extend Recruiting Beyond the Enterprise
Auckland — August 29, 2001 — PeopleSoft Inc. (Nasdaq: PSFT) today announced PeopleSoft 8 Recruiting Solutions, the industry’s most comprehensive, collaborative suite of recruiting applications. PeopleSoft 8 Recruiting Solutions allow all parties involved in the hiring process to collaborate through web-enabled applications, increasing access to high-quality candidates and reducing cost and time-to-hire.
“The war for talent is still a challenge for organisations, and attracting and retaining the best staff is a critical component of that challenge. PeopleSoft’s pure internet Recruiting Solutions enables the entire recruitment process to be streamlined, enabling a speedier, more effective process,” said David Webster, Managing Director Australia and New Zealand, PeopleSoft. “PeopleSoft is the only vendor that delivers a seamlessly integrated, pure internet solution to source, attract, and retain the best employees.”
Recruiters, hiring managers, applicants, job boards, and background check-services can collaborate through PeopleSoft 8 Recruiting Solutions to effectively streamline the hiring process. Seamlessly integrated with PeopleSoft’s industry-leading Human Resources Management (HRMS) suite, PeopleSoft 8 Recruiting Solutions include Human Resources, eRecruit, eRecruit Manager Desktop, and the new Resume Processing application.
The comprehensive solution offers customers role-based and personalised self-service capabilities. Customers can perform tasks ranging from opening job requisitions, scheduling interviews and rating candidates’ skill sets. Additionally, integration with PeopleSoft Workforce Analytics allows organisations to measure and optimise the effectiveness of their recruitment processes by tracking the best sources of candidates, and analysing time and cost-to-hire metrics.
“PeopleSoft is positioned to become the only vendor with a product that will help companies acquire and manage any type of worker — full-time, part-time, contingent, contract, service provider…that they need to run their business,” stated Monica Barron, AMR Research, in AMR’s May 22, 2001 weekly bulletin, Alert on Enterprise Management. “…PeopleSoft has quietly solidified its standing as the foremost workforce management vendor.”
Resume Processing, the latest addition to PeopleSoft 8 Recruiting Solutions, allows customers to process and review resumes in any data format including faxes, email text and attachments, scanned, and HTML documents. Through this capability, customers can eliminate manual processes and significantly reduce the time needed to process a candidate’s resume.
PeopleSoft has also established relationships with leading recruiting content suppliers – RecruitAsiaPac, AIRS, and HireRight – to provide recruiters and managers with self-service, pre-integrated supplier content and decision support. This supplier content provides customers with improved, more streamlined recruiting processes. For example, through a single sign-on, recruiters and managers can perform critical tasks, including posting open positions to more than 3,000 web destinations and premium job boards, searching the internet for qualified candidates and conducting automated pre-employment screening.
PeopleSoft’s pure internet Recruiting Solutions are available immediately.
