gen-i Shares Job Growth In Waikato Region With Launching Of New Hamilton Office
AUCKLAND, 31 July, 2001 - gen-i
Hamilton officially launched its new Princes Street office
late last week with a large turnout from many of Waikato's
senior IT and business people.
The company recently announced that Hamilton will be the home for its national courier repair service and will offer clients a full suite of services including IT infrastructure development, software services, and consulting and account management.
“In the past month, gen-i’s Hamilton office has all but doubled in size, as a result of the company’s continued expansion. This has led to a number of new positions created for the Waikato region, with the possibility of more to come,” says gen-i Hamilton Manager, Gary Ilton.
The guest speaker at the office launch was 2001 Chiefs Coach, John Mitchell, who spoke about the importance of being well-connected on the rugby field and how this is often the defining characteristic of a winning team.
Among the guests at the launch were IT Managers, Chief Executives, Chief Technology Officers and Chief Information Officers from a wide range of businesses of the greater Waikato region.
“The launch was a great success and a positive way to kick off our new branch,” says Darren Gosnell, gen-i (Hamilton) Senior Technical Consultant.
“gen-i Hamilton is also no longer is a break / fix operation, but a hub to manage the IT assets for our largest clients. Our focus over the coming year will be to ensure that our clients receive a wide application of IT skills and expertise through the design and implementation of innovative network solutions.”
The expanded capability at gen-i’s office lifts the Hamilton office from 11 to 19 staff.
