Symantec today launched Ghost Migration ToolKit v6.5, a new and powerful alternative to PC management that enhances existing Helpdesk and management solutions, in a growing heterogeneous environment of connected and mobile PCs.

With the Symantec Ghost AntiVirus Migration ToolKit v6.5 an organisation can migrate their entire network and mobile PCs to Norton AntiVirus 7.5 Corporate Edition faster, cheaper and more efficiently. Not only are the deployment costs significantly reduced there is also no risk of the company being exposed without anti-virus protection during the roll-out.

The Symantec Ghost AntiVirus Migration ToolKit v6.5, uses Ghost AutoInstall, designed for customers who need to uninstall their existing competitive anti-virus software before migrating to Norton AntiVirus 7.5 Corporate Edition. The product was developed to ensure that the usual cost and inconvenience of manually removing software is minimal.
Ghost AutoInstall offers three key features: Replicator, to take ‘Snap shots’ of application installation and unistallation; Builder, to customise the package prior to roll out and Manager, the console to control and manage rollout Enterprise- wide.

The Ghost AutoInstall technology is the fastest Standard Operating Environment deployment tool available. It installs any software application including MSI packages, Operating System patches and Service packs.
