Politicians Strangled!

"Political candidates in Dunedin whining about applying for resource consents to erect election hoardings get their first taste of life under the Resource Management Act," says a highly amused Peter Cresswell, Libertarianz Environment Deregulation Spokesman, who roars with laughter at politicians being strangled by their own red tape.

A vast National billboard is pictured in this morning's ODT which apparently falls foul of the RMA, and an Alliance groupie is shown looking at a seven page fax he received explaining the Dunedin City Council's position. NZ First's Jenny Bloxham admits that she is "close to breaking the law."

"These low lifes should push off and stop their whimpering," says Cresswell. "The RMA has already ruined the lives of hundreds of hard working New Zealanders; it is some small justice that it is ruining a few election campaigns."
