Nanny's Cannabis Spat
"It's quite obvious from the recent spat over cannabis law reform that none of the other parties 'gets it'" says Libertarianz justice spokesman Bernard Darnton. "The real issue is this," he says. "Who owns your body?"
"Using cannabis - or any other drug for that matter - may well be unwise but ultimately it's a choice that each individual should be able to make without interference from busybodies in Wellington."
"Career politicians from both sides of the house will witter on about 'sending messages to our youth' and argue about trivia. They do however agree on one point. They all agree that it's the government's job to nanny us."
Darnton points out that this is a common theme running through all the policies of all the parties at this election. All except one. At this election there is really only one choice. Nanny State in twenty five different guises, or Libertarianz. Only Libertarianz," he says, "will give New Zealanders their lives back."
