Wellington Airport Welcomes Step Forward On Transport Improvements

Published: Wed 29 Jun 2022 01:07 PM
Wellington Airport is welcoming progress on Wellington’s transport network with the Government announcing a preferred option today.
“It’s good to see progress being made and a clear pathway forward,” says Wellington Airport chief executive Matt Clarke.
“A new four lane tunnel through Mt Victoria is much needed and should add capacity for all forms of transport in the future.
“Traffic improvements around the Basin Reserve and an extension to the Arras Tunnel would also help get Wellington moving.”
