Whanau First in support of Grandmother meeting with Rodney Electorate MP Hon. Mark Mitchell
A distressed and traumatized grandmother from the Rodney Electorate will meet with Rodney Electorate MP Mark Mitchell on Monday, May 20, 10am at the Rodney Electorate Office, Tamariki House, 7 Tamariki Avenue, Orewa. The Rodney Electorate MP has been called upon due to the absolute break down and trust in the relationship between the grandmother and Oranga Tamariki, Orewa.
The constant bullying I’ve experienced for years now from Oranga Tamariki, Orewa has come at great personal cost. It has meant I am no longer able to engage any further in direct communication with Oranga Tamariki Orewa”, the grandmother says. “What is clearly obvious in the latest email communication from the Oranga Tamariki social worker highlights the ongoing intimidation and attempts to undermine me through bullying behaviour, behaviour I have experienced from the onset of my involvement with Oranga Tamariki. They have clearly attempted to ostracize myself as the children’s closest whanau, their grandmother, completely and permeantly from their lives”.
