INDUSTRIAL ACTION Staff walking out from Access Community Health today
Up to 120 PSA and E tu union coordinators, contact centre workers and administrators at Access Community Health will be walking off the job from 9:00am as part of a nationwide walk-off.
In conjunction, a three hour long picket will be held from 9:00am - 12:00pm at sites in Wellington, Christchurch, and Invercargill (further details below).
This action follows a week of partial strike actions by Access Community Health workers seeking increased pay and conditions.
Following the use of bullying tactics by Access Community Health towards striking members, the PSA has written to the Ministry of Health Director General requesting the Ministry urge Access to cease use of aggressive tactics and instead return to the bargaining table with a fair pay offer.
Picket locations:
Wellington - 106-110 Jackson Street, Petone (Access Community Health head office), Wellington 5012
Invercargill - Wachner Place, Invercargill 9810
Christchurch - Corner Lunns & Curletts Road, Middleton, Christchurch 8024
