is a priority for the Netherlands Government
The Netherlands Embassy and their families will march in the Wellington International Pride Parade (WIPP) to show their support for LGBTI+ equality.

They have travelled from the Netherlands Embassy in Ottawa, Canada to Wellington for the Pride Festival and the World Conference of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA) 18-22 March 2019.
The Netherlands Embassy warmly invites everyone to share in the journey of the Dutch Kissing Boys going around the world to promote social acceptance and respect for human rights of LGBTI+ persons. The journey from Ottawa to Wellington, and to the rest of the world. You are welcome to take a photo to share and use #DutchKissingBoys #DutchKissingGirls. You can’t miss them as they are over two meters tall.
Equal rights for LGBTI+ persons are a priority within the Netherlands international human rights policy. The Dutch government pursues an unambiguous policy on the principle of non-discrimination that combats discrimination and violence on grounds of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and sex characteristics.
To support this objective, the Netherlands Embassy in New Zealand is also sponsoring seven scholarships for LGBTI+ activists from the Pacific to attend ILGA to enhance regional participation.
