Emma Jolliff And Simon Shepherd to Present Three’s

Newshub is pleased to announce that Emma Jolliff and Simon Shepherd will become the presenters of Three’s current affairs show, Newshub Nation from October 6th, 2018. Newshub Nation is made with the support of New Zealand on Air.

Emma, a senior reporter for Newshub, has been based in the Wellington bureau for 11 years and during that time she has reported on business, politics and general news. She has extensive experience presenting and reporting for Newshub’s nightly bulletins and previous shows including Story, Sunrise and Firstline. Emma will continue to be based in Wellington during the week and will travel to Auckland to present Newshub Nation on the weekend.

Of the new role, Emma says, “It's a privilege to co-host our flagship TV current affairs and interview program alongside Simon, and I look forward to the challenge of doing so.”

Co-host Simon Shepherd is a familiar face with New Zealand audiences with more than 25 years journalism experience. During his time at Three he has worked on previous shows including 60 Minutes, 20/20, Firstline and Campbell Live before moving to Newshub where he has presented and reported for Newshub Live at 6pm and Newshub Nation.

Of the show, Simon says, "Newshub Nation is an extremely important programme which has a proud track record of shining the spotlight on politicians and their promises and diving beneath the headlines on the issues that matter to Kiwis.”

Newshub Nation airs on Three every Saturday at 9.30am and Sunday at 10am. It is also available to stream on ThreeNow.
