Big week for Public Service Association

Published: Mon 24 Sep 2018 07:10 PM
The 2018 Congress of the Public Service Association (PSA) kicks off tomorrow at Te Papa in Wellington for two days, followed by a one day conference for Public Service Delegates called 'Stand Together for one public service'.
The PSA Congress takes place every second year with up to 200 delegates in attendance. The theme this year is the Future Of Unions In The Future Of Work.
International speaker Andrew Pakes of the UK's innovative Prospect Union will speak on the topic of why unions need to get serious about innovation.
Also this week the PSA has two milestones to celebrate with its members - a successful Collective Employment Agreement signing with MBIE and (tomorrow) an historic new settlement for social workers.
