PSA shows solidarity to striking NZEI members

Primary school teachers deserve a fair go, and PSA members stand together with them in their strike action today.
"We stand in solidarity with striking NZEI members today, because we agree it’s time to fix the crisis in teaching," PSA National Secretaries Glenn Barclay and Erin Barclay say.
"This is the first time in more than two decades that primary school teachers have taken industrial action, and we know this will not have been an easy decision to take.
"PSA members know the NZEI has stood with them when they needed it - today, we are supporting them, because together we are stronger."
The tamariki of PSA staff members in Wellington joined in the action today, by baking cupcakes and painting placards to take to the rally at Parliament.
"Our children wanted to show support for their teachers, and we thought a sweet treat might lift their spirits," Ms Polaczuk says.
