Sensible Sentencing Trust disgusted with Sex Slavery sentence

“Any human being using another human being as a sex slave is disgusting and untenable but a mother using her 15-year-old daughter as a sex slave for up to one thousand sick perverted clients is premeditated and calculated and a three-year five-month jail sentence is as wrong as the offence committed“ Scott Guthrie.
A mother who kept her teenage daughter as a sex slave, pimping her out more than one thousand times, has been jailed for less than four years.
Kasmeer Lata, 36, forced her daughter to sell her body to men in Auckland over one thousand times over an eighteen-month period beginning on the girl's 15th birthday in 2014.
In the Auckland High Court on Tuesday Lata was sentenced to a minimum three-years and five-months behind bars.
Guthrie went on to say “The evidence is clear that this innocent child was used by her mother as a piece of reusable meat for monetary gain, but once again our justice system has let the victim down. The horrific things this poor defenceless child has been subjected to will have a life time effect on her and yet Justice Matthew Muir looked kindly upon the offender with a pathetic denounceable sentence of just three years and five months”
If the Minister of Justice Andrew little is as serious about creating a fairer and safer Justice system in New Zealand as he keeps saying, he needs to step up and start considering the thousands of victims of crime instead of letting the judiciary pander to the criminals so called rights, as is the case now.
