Colin Craig to Sue Again re Sexl Harassment
Colin Craig has decided to sue ex party Board chairman John Stringer again in the Christchurch High Court over matters already resolved at a settlement conference over a year ago.
Craig has filed a re-freshed suit v Stringer for $450,000 over allegations Craig sexually harassed Rachel MacGregor the younger sister of Stringer's Christchurch pastor at the time and the press secretary of the Conservative party whom Stringer will call as his only witness.
The new case is one part of the earlier settled proceeding which John Stringer successfully recalled before Judge Osborne in the Christchurch High Court (19 Dec 2017) after it was found Craig had doctored a letter he wrote to Rachel MacGregor and misrepresented it to John's Stringer's defence to conceal the true nature of his feelings towards MacGregor. Craig was ordered to pay John Stringer's costs and has done so.
The proceeding will be a 5-day trial before a Judge in Christchurch at a first available fixture after 25 May 2018.
John Stringer has welcomed the new proceeding and says "this trial will resolve the issues of the alleged sexual harassment regarding Mr Craig once-and-for-all in some detail after three years of obfuscation, confusion and deception across several trials" he said "and perhaps we can all move on free of Mr Craig's propensity for litigation to defend an already ruined reputation."
