Inc Bernadette Pereira endorses and supports Josephine
Bartley who is running as a candidate for Auckland
Councillor in the upcoming by-election for the
Maungakiekie-Tāmaki ward.
“I’m really proud of Josephine in stepping up to the challenge. She is an excellent candidate with a wide range of skills and wealth of experience to offer. Her track record as a community stalwart and advocate speaks for itself, “Ms Pereira said.
“In addition to many other projects she has driven, she set up the first PACIFICA Tamaki branch 3 years ago, was the inaugural President and has been a PACIFICA member for many years. Despite her busy schedule and responsibilities she continues to contribute her skills and knowledge to the work of PACIFICA and other worthy causes.”
“We wish Josephine all the best in the upcoming by-elections and hope that Maungakiekie-Tamaki will get behind her!” Ms Pereira added.
The Tamaki-Maungakiekie Councillor seat became vacant with the former Councillor Denise Krum being elected to Parliament last September.
